Ragne Pajo, Psy.D., C.Psych

Registered Clinical Psychologist

Welcome to therapy! I help my clients with a broad range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, health issues, and stress management. I also have extensive experience working with trauma-related concerns, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and can help you feel safe again. In addition, I help guide clients through relationship problems and family issues. As part of this area, I have an in-depth understanding of the impact that people with personality issues and other significant mental health concerns within family or workplace can have on my clients and can help you manage these complex relationships.

I take an integrative approach to evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), family systems theory, mindfulness and acceptance. I like to explore how past experiences have shaped us and inform our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour patterns in the present day to increase understanding of yourself and help bring relief or create change. I believe that everyone is different and use an open-minded, problem-solving and collaborative approach that is tailored to your individual goals and needs. I take special care to help clients foster self-compassion through understanding and, with education and support, work to empower you to make lasting positive changes.

I completed my doctoral training at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, USA, in 2008. This was followed by eight years of providing outpatient therapy specializing in trauma and crisis as well as treating mood and behaviour-related concerns. Since 2016 I have worked in Toronto in private practice, primarily treating adults 18 years of age and older.

In addition to English, I also speak Estonian.
