Type of Therapy That We Offer
We take an integrative approach to treatment that is based on the unique concerns and needs of each person. Our approach may include the following:
The Bloor West Therapy Process
Many of our clients first come to us wondering “is something wrong with me”. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Often, we work with clients to understand how they are feeling, help them make sense of their experiences, and find the best way forward.
When you call our intake coordinator, we will work to match you with the right therapist depending on what you’re looking for help with. You have the option of having an initial consultation to make sure the therapist is a good fit. During your first appointment, we create a plan together, including how often we will meet and which therapeutic approach we use to meet your needs.
We usually book one session at a time, unless you prefer to create a more regular schedule. Many clients start out once a week, then taper to less frequent appointments, eventually booking ”booster” sessions if needed. It is difficult to predict how many sessions a client will require; it can vary from just one to ongoing long-term therapy, depending on the nature of your concerns.
