Stefani Trovato, MPsy
Clinical Associate
I have completed a Master of Psychology Degree at Adler Graduate Professional School. I am currently fulfilling requirements toward becoming a Psychological Associate and registering with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
My approach to therapy is client-centred and compassion-focused, I include techniques from multiple modalities, including CBT, DBT, and IFS to meet my clients where they are. My work is trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, to find out what works best to help you get to where you want to be in your life. Above all, I believe that an authentic therapeutic relationship is the most important factor for lasting therapeutic change. I always aim to ensure that you feel heard, understood, and valued.
I have experience working with a number of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, panic, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, ADHD, OCD, gender identity issues, and trauma.
I would be honoured to provide you with an inclusive, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your life and gain insight into who you are. I recognize the multiple oppressions that cause harm and pain for many individuals. My therapy style aims to help you move closer toward empowerment. I welcome people from all cultures, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities/disabilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My practice is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming.
