Sarah Knox, MA, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Counsellor/ Master's-level Intern

I am a Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists.

My approach to counselling is based in the belief that all people have a natural capacity to grow through life’s challenges and pain towards a life that is more fulfilled, content, and balanced. I build strong therapeutic relationships with clients, attending to each person’s unique context and life experience to tap into their strengths and abilities. I use a collaborative approach, along with cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy and other techniques to help people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and sadness.

In addition to being a student, I have had a 25+ year career working in healthcare with a focus on midwifery, reproductive care and health equity.
