Isabella Quinn, BSW
MSW Practicum Student
My name is Isabella and I’m currently completing my Master of Social Work at York University. I am supervised by Kayla Patchett, MSW RSW.
My desire to pursue psychotherapy stems from my belief that relationships – the ones we bring to therapy and the one we create together – hold the power to change our lives.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as relational approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment theory to best support folks in deepening their understanding of themselves and achieving their goals. My education in social work has also helped me to understand the complex factors that contribute to well-being. My approach is grounded in understanding the contextual, relational, and dynamic forces that shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. I believe that healing and personal growth are best achieved by exploring and addressing the narratives and relationships that inform our experiences.
My extensive work as a suicide and crisis line responder has confirmed to me the power of therapeutic relationships in the healing process. I feel so privileged to be a part of an another person’s story and to be given the chance to support them. My aim is to support you through whatever obstacles you might be facing by providing a warm and non-judgmental approach that meets you where you are.
I understand that finding the right therapist takes time. I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to explore whether we may be a good fit to work together.
